Because we know the #COVID19 outbreak and social distancing has been very stressful, we are offering free virtual support groups for the public. We have online groups for those who are currently using opioids, alcohol and other drugs; those in recovery from substance use; and those who are the support system and loved ones of people with addiction. Support Group for individuals using opioids, alcohol and other drugs

Given the international media attention and the virus’s daily impact on work, school, and loved ones, fear about the disease can feel overwhelming. It may feel like there is no escape from anxiety, which can cause increased substance use as a form of self-medicating. This group will focus on providing support and education for how to reduce harm associated with drug and alcohol use.

Support Group for individuals in recovery from substance use

Social distancing on top of fear about Coronavirus on top of stress due to work, school and recovery activity closures can trigger depression, anxiety and loneliness, all of which can increase risk of relapse. This group is for people in recovery to share strategies for staying healthy and connected during these stressful times.

Support Group for loved ones and support system of individuals with addiction

Having a loved one with addiction can be stressful and isolating. We know COVID19 social distancing has made this even more stressful and more isolating. This group is for loved one and support system of people in addiction. We will use this time to connect with one another and share strategies for supporting your loved ones with addiction, but also ensuring adequate support is in place for yourself.
